Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Doggy Dogg, aka Snoop Lion) will be in Indianapolis Friday, Feb. 20, but not as a rapper, not entirely anyway, the entertainment company Keepin' It Deep said Saturday.

The legendary rapper will be at the Blu Lounge, 240 S. Meridian St., where he'll do a two-hour DJ set as DJ Snoopadelic. He'll also perform three songs.

Snoop Dogg, who became a star in 1993 with the release of his album "Doggystyle," has been in Indianapolis several times, including last year when he performed a soldout show at The Vogue in Broad Ripple.

His upcoming show at Blu would seem to be the smallest venue he has played locally. The cheapest of the 300 tickets to be sold will be $50.

The show starts at 10 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m.
